Juniper is a 11" budget MT8183 aarch64 chromebook, advertised for (and I had to take out the marketing sticker out of the garbage twice for this): weighing ~1kg, having a "thin design", "Ultra-Fast Wireless Speed", "Up to 15-Hours Battery Life*", and "Greater Keyboard Travel Distance", whatever that means.
From things which may interest you more:
- excellent battery life, especially if you disable the latter 4 cores (A72)
- soldered on wifi/bt card (Qualcomm Atheros NFA324A-32H32). decent perf.
- XHCI controller, but on my device (sdomi) all ports are USB2
- only two external USB ports (1x USB-A, 1x USB-C) plus a 3.5mm jack
- several places onboard which look like additional USB lines. TBD.
- the SERVO port has a lot of testpads around it, should make it easier to solder onto
- half of the case is empty, great hackability potential
Of note: Juniper has some hardware quirks, documented on the Kukui page.
